County Clare may benefit under a number of schemes covered by global allocations from the additional £10 million contributed by the Exchequer to the Employment Guarantee Fund under the terms of the second national understanding, which I announced on 21 September 1981. These include the Department of Education Community, Youth, Recreational and Employment Programme, the Department of the Environment Environmental Improvements Scheme and a Bord Fáilte tourism-related job creation package.
