Under the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended), it was necessary for the work to be satisfactorily completed and a claim for payment received in my Department on or before 30 June 1981. As this statutory requirement was not complied with in this case, payment of a grant may not now be made.

The balance of the reconstruction grant in this case was paid on 28 July 1981. The delay in issuing payment was due to the misplacement of the relevant papers.
