asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of a new house grant application from the person named at the address given.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite the payment of a £1,000 new house grant and a £3,000 subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

On the basis of the information provided, my Department are unable to trace an application for a new house grant and mortgage subsidy from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will give final approval for a heat conversion grant to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if his Department have acted on the submissions made by Deputy Keegan on his behalf on the matter.

As the Deputy has already been informed, the applicant indicated that he already had a domestic hot water supply by means of a solid fuel installation prior to the commencement of the works for which a grant was sought, and as a grant is not payable for the provision of an additional solid fuel burning appliance, his application was refused in February 1981.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

633.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford is eligible for a £1,000 grant and a £3,000 subsidy.

If the person in question submits an application for the £1,000 new house grant and the mortgage subsidy, his eligibility will be investigated. It is not possible to say from the details given whether or not he would meet all the conditions governing the grant and subsidy schemes.
