Vol. 331 No. 7

Written Answers. - Baldoyle (Dublin) House Repairs.

656.

andDr. Woods asked the Minister for the Environment when he intends to make adequate moneys available to have the very essential remedial works carried out to the roofs of the houses at Seagrange Estate, Baldoyle, Dublin 13; the amount of money he intends to make available having regard to the fact that the current costing for this work is almost half a million pounds.

While my predecessor informed Dublin Corporation on 22 May 1981, that there was no objection to their proposals for roof repairs to the dwellings in this scheme, he did not see fit to provide funds to meet the cost of these works. I agree with his view that the question of providing the necessary funds for this work is a matter between the owner occupiers, the corporation and the contractors.
