asked the Minister for Agriculture if the application for a grant under the western drainage scheme in respect of proposed drainage works on the River Dorannagh, Listry, Faha, Killarney, County Kerry will be approved soon.

This application is being investigated. Meanwhile confirmation is awaited from the representative of the joint applicants that the proposed drainage work is acceptable to the South Western Regional Fisheries Board.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a farm building grant of £7,629 has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The work in this case was certified only recently. The grant will be paid when normal processing procedures have been completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a farm modernisation grant in respect of land drainage will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The grant has been paid.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture when a grant in respect of reclamation work which has been carried out will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The local farm development office were awaiting a communication from the applicant in this case and the inspection will now be carried out.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture when he will pay a sheep grant to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The person named is not eligible to apply for a grant under the 1981 sheep headage scheme as he does not farm in a disadvantaged area. He is not an applicant under the 1980 or 1981 EEC schemes of premiums for good quality ewes.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture when he will pay a grant in respect of first time silage making to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The grant will be paid shortly.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture when a sheep subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The person named is an applicant under both the 1981 sheep headage scheme and the 1981 ewe premium scheme. Payment of his sheep headage grant will be made in the next few weeks and of his ewe premium early in the New Year.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will pay a considerable grant as a matter of urgency to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

There are two grants involved in this case. These grants have been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a cattle subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

Eligibility for a grant under the 1980 cattle headage scheme cannot be determined in this case until the applicant submits the documentary evidence of his off-farm earnings for the income tax year ended 5 April 1980 which was requested on 3 November 1980 and again on 18 May 1981.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The grant in this case has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a beef cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named is not eligible for payment of a grant under the 1980 beef cow scheme as his off-farm income for the year ended 5 April 1980 exceeded the limit of £4,175. He did not apply for a beef cow grant in 1981.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

It is a condition for the payment of grants to development farmers under the farm modernisation scheme that an extract of farm accounts is submitted for each year of the plan. As the applicant in this case is a development farmer the grant cannot be paid until the necessary extract is furnished.

The grant has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person named has been requested to supply details of his off-farm income and when this information is available to my Department, his eligibility for payment under the 1981 cattle headage scheme will then be determined.
