Vol. 331 No. 8

Written Answers. - Tax Refund.

672.

asked the Minister for Finance when a marriage tax certificate and a rebate which is due will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

A refund of £156.08 was made on 15 September 1981, to the taxpayer in respect of the revised pre-marriage liability arising for 1981-82.

A tax-free allowance certificate for the post-marriage period has now been issued by the inspector of taxes and any tax overdeducted from the date of marriage will be refunded by the present employer on operation of that certificate.
