asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if he will furnish the following information in respect of each county for the years 1979, 1980 and at the latest date in the current year for which figures are available: (a) the extent of land acquired by his Department for afforestation; (b) the extent of land planted for afforestation; and (c) the extent of land planted for reafforestation.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if he will give details of the sales of timber from State forests in respect of 1979 and 1980 and at the latest date in the current year for which figures are available indicating (a) the volume of sales in terms of sawlog, pulpwood and ESB and P & T poles; the percentage sold standing; (b) the volume of trees marked for sale in terms of thinnings, clear fell, blown, transmission poles and others; (c) the proportion of sales to timber merchants; and exports, if any.
