Vol. 331 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Limerick National School.

107.

(Clare) asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed extension to Clonmoney national school, County Limerick.

Primary School accommodation comprising four-five classrooms initially, plus the usual ancillary accommodation, and with scope for future extension is considered to be necessary at Clonmoney, County Clare. Because of unfavourable reports from the Commissioners of Public Works on the cost of providing this accommodation by way of extension to the existing school the reverend chairman of the board of management was advised to obtain a site for a new school. A site which was offered is now understood to be no longer available and it is proposed to seek a further report from the Commissioners of Public Works on the feasibility of building on the existing site, suitably extended.
