The total legal costs for which the State is liable in respect of the Whiddy Island Disaster Inquiry is £500,769.85. This sum is made up as follows.

Payment to Solicitor to Tribunal on Account of costs and outlay

Taxed costs of Solicitor appointed to represent the next of kin
