asked the Minister for the Environment the reason an improvement grant has been refused to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

Under the Housing Regulations 1980 (as amended) it was necessary for payment of this grant that all the relevant works be satisfactorily completed on or before 30 June 1981. The Department's inspector reported on 31 July, 1981 that the relevant works were not, by then, completed and the grant cannot, therefore, be paid.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who has submitted all the required documentation.

This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a housing grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

Under the Housing Regulations 1980 (as amended) it was necessary for payment of this grant that the relevant works be satisfactorily completed and a claim for payment received in the Department on or before 30 June 1981. As notification in this regard was not received in the Department until 23 July 1981 the grant cannot be paid.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

This grant will be paid if and when an inspection establishes that the works are in order for payment. The inspection will be carried out shortly.
