asked the Minister for Agriculture whether the Gilliland Estate, Rathmore, Ballyshannon, County Donegal, has been allocated by the Land Commission; and whether a person (details supplied) in County Donegal was considered.

This property was divided last month between two local smallholders.

The application of the person referred to by the Deputy was fully considered but, having regard to the limited amount of land available — 11.5 hectares — and the claims of the successful applicants, the Land Commission did not find it possible to provide an allotment for him.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a farm modernisation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The grant in this case has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his Department will pay a farm building grant to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The local office of the Department has not yet been notified by the applicant that the work has been completed. When notification is received a final inspection will be carried out and if the work is satisfactorily completed the grant will be paid without delay.

asked the Minister for Agriculture why commitments which were given on 3 November 1981 in reply to a Parliamentary Question in regard to the payment of farm grants have not been fulfilled.

The grant in this case was paid on 7 December.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if a western drainage grant will be paid immediately to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The claim was only certified recently. The grant will be paid when normal processing procedures are completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if a farm modernisation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The work in this case was certified only recently. The grant will be paid shortly.

Payment of grant under the 1980 EEC suckler cow scheme will be made to the person named in the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the early payment of grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

My Department have no record of an application under either the farm modernisation scheme or cattle headage schemes from a person with the name supplied or with the same surname and address.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the early payment of a grant to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The grant has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The grant in this case has been paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the payment of a £100 grant to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon in respect of an animal slaughtered under the TB eradication scheme.

Payment of the relevant grant has been made. Since the animal killed out at over 182 kgs the rate of grant was £60 and not £100.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a grant under the calf suckler scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person named is an applicant under the 1981 EEC suckler cow scheme and also under the beef cow scheme in the disadvantaged areas. He will be paid his beef cow grant shortly and his suckler cow grant in February 1982, after the end of the six months retention period specified in the scheme.
