Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - Rosslare Harbour Veterinary Inspector Appointment.

187.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the ever-increasing number of livestock being exported through Rosslare Harbour, he will consider as a matter of urgency the appointment of a full-time veterinary inspector there.

The veterinary arrangements for the inspection of livestock exported through Rosslare Harbour are satisfactory and the appointment of a full-time veterinary inspector at the port is not considered necessary at this time. The position is however being kept under review in the light of the development of livestock exports through the port.
