Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Tipperary Road Grants.

370.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department will make sufficient finance available to South Tipperary County Council so that the national primary road, N 8, at Ballytarsna and Aughnegomin (between Cashel and the Horse and Jockey) will be rendered safe in view of the very large number of accidents which have occurred on that stretch of road.

Substantial grants have been allocated in recent years as part of a continuing programme of improvement works on this road. For works in the vicinity of Ballytarsna the grants came to £236,400, including £107,000 in the current year.

Question No. 371 postponed.
