Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - Cashel (Tipperary) Nursing Home.

441.

asked the Minister for Health if she will approve St. Anne's Nursing Home, John Street, Cashel, County Tipperary, under section 54 of the Health Act, 1970 for the purpose of the payment of subventions; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I regret that I would not feel justified in approving of this nursing home under section 54 of the Health Act, 1970, in view of the fact that the South-Eastern Health Board, who are responsible for the health services in the area, have indicated that there is an excess of geriatric beds in the Cashel area.

Questions Nos. 442 and 443 postponed.
