Vol. 331 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Donegal Hospitals.

451.

asked the Minister for Health the extensions planned for Donegal District Hospital, County Donegal; and when work will commence.

The question of extensions at this hospital is a matter for the North Western Health Board in the first instance.

I understand that the health board propose to extend the day care centre at this hospital when the necessary finances can be made available. In the meantime, the health board are having existing accommodation renovated with a view to providing extra day care accommodation on a temporary basis and the renovations are expected to be completed in a few months' time.

452.

asked the Minister for Health if there are any proposals to restore general hospital services at the Sheil Hospital, Ballyshannon, County Donegal.

I am not aware of any such proposals.

Question No. 453 postponed.
