asked the Minister for Finance the progress to date in relation to the proposal to create a permanent monument in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, to commemorate the visit of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to Ireland in 1979.

The construction works involved will be completed within the next few weeks. Reseeding of the surrounding area and tree-planting will take place during next spring.
