asked the Minister for Justice the positions previously held by non-established civil servants appointed by him and his Minister of State since 30 June 1981.

The information supplied relates to the persons appointed under excluding orders made by the Civil Service Commissioners.

There were three such appointments made since 30 June 1981. The first person appointed held a position as secretarial assistant to the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party in Leinster House, the second was a freelance journalist and the third was an assistant in the Labour Party Press Office.
