Vol. 333 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Diplomatic Relations with Poland.

19.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the form of diplomatic relations which exist between Ireland and Poland.

Ireland has diplomatic relations with Poland on a non-resident basis. The Irish Ambassador at Stockholm is accredited to Poland and the Polish Ambassador at The Hague is accredited to Ireland.

In view of the concern the Irish Government have expressed in relation to affairs in Poland, will they consider that now is an appropriate time to establish a residential embassy in the Polish state?

That is a separate question. I would be prepared to consider the Deputy's suggestions.
