Written Answers. - Housing Grants.

202.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have the house which has been constructed by a person (details supplied) in County Galway re-measured for grant purposes.

The file has been referred to my Department's inspector for an on-site measurement of the floor area of the house, with a view to the approval of a grant, if in order.

203.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a house improvement grant for the provision of a chimney to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed on 10 March 1982.

204.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the work has been inspected and passed.

The grant was paid on 3 March 1982.

205.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the work has been inspected and passed.

When my Department are notified that the house is completed and occupied by the applicant, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of a grant, if in order.
