Vol. 334 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advertising Costs.

21.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the estimated cost of his Department's advertising in all local and national newspapers for each of the past three years.

The estimate for the 1979 cost is included in the reply by the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism whose Department then covered Industry, Commerce and Energy.

The estimated amounts spent from (a) the Energy and (b) the Industry and Energy Votes in 1980 and 1981 respectively were £130,000 and £200,000. The amounts spent were divided between subheads C.2 — Advertising and Publicity — and F.1 — Energy Conservation — of the Department's Vote.
