Vol. 334 No. 7

Written Answers. - River Drainage Schemes.

699.

asked the Minister for Finance if Ballaghadereen, County Leitrim will be the headquarters for the Office of Public Works for the duration of the Boyle and Bonet drainage schemes.

700.

asked the Minister for Finance where it is proposed to set up the local administrative headquarters for the drainage of the Bonet and Boyle rivers; and the premises and other accommodation that has been secured.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 699 and 700 together.

A final decision has not yet been taken on the location of a headquarters for the Boyle and Bonet Drainage Schemes.

701.

asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money that will be made available for work on the Rivers Bonet and Boyle to be carried out during the course of this year; and when work will start on both rivers.

A sum of £300,000 has been provided for works on these schemes in 1982.

It is expected that the actual drainage works will commence on the Boyle this summer and that works will get under way on the Bonet about a year later.
