Vol. 334 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Sligo School.

807.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the very poor condition of the accommodation at Stokane national school, County Sligo, in particular the pre-fabricated buildings; and if, in view of the very serious situation this presents for the school-children, he will give immediate sanction for the building of a new school.

As stated in reply to a previous question on 27 January 1982, approval has been given for the provision of a prefabricated classroom at Stokane national school to accommodate an additional teacher and the school authorities have been authorised to have essential repairs and improvements carried out to the permanent building. The question of replacing the school has to be considered in the light of long-term enrolment trends.
