Vol. 334 No. 7

Written Answers. - Disability Allowance Payment.

809.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make arrangements for some form of disability allowance to be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin in view of the facts of the case.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the allowance available under the infectious diseases maintenance allowance regulations. I am informed by the Eastern Health Board that the person in question is not eligible for this allowance on medical grounds. However, the local community welfare officer is aware of the person's circumstances and has given her financial assistance on a number of occasions.
