Vol. 334 No. 9

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2 and 10 and 11 (resumed). The House will not sit on Tuesday of next week.

I wish to give notice of my intention to raise on the Adjournment the problem of unemployment in Waterford city and county.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy. The House will sit at 10.30 on Wednesday next.

Could the Taoiseach tell us when it is intended to introduce a supplementary budget to pay for the £45 million PRSI and the £15 million promised to Deputy Blaney and the numerous other millions being spent at present in the Dublin by-election?

That is a matter for the budget.

Surely the people are entitled to know before they vote. They will be paying 10p a pound extra for butter and another 10p——

(Interruptions.)

There is no answer.

Could I ask Deputy L'Estrange to please give way to Deputy Sherlock?

It is your constituency, or it was, and you should be very interested.

Would Deputy L'Estrange be good enough to allow Deputy Sherlock to speak?

It is some time now since my party submitted a Private Member's Motion on the issue of PRSI and we are rather disappointed that it has not appeared on the Order Paper. I wonder if it is likely that it will appear in the near future.

The Chair will look into that for the Deputy.
