Vol. 334 No. 9

Written Answers. - Housing Finance Agency Loans.

132.

asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money he proposes to make available to each housing authority specifically for the operation of Housing Finance Agency loans; when each housing authority will receive that money; if he proposes to make such sums available on a monthly or quarterly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The raising and allocation of finance for house purchase loans under the Housing Finance Agency Act, 1981, are within the discretion of the agency subject only to the conditions and borrowing limits provided for in the Act. I have arranged for the agency to send to the Deputy up-to-date information on the scheme, including a copy of a letter issued by the agency to local authorities on 3 May 1982.
