Vol. 334 No. 9

Written Answers. - School Grant.

327.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in paying a substantial grant to the management committee of Kill national school, County Waterford, in respect of a major extension and renovation works.

The scheme of extension to and renovation of Kill national school, County Waterford, was carried out by the board of management with the assistance of an architect engaged by the chairman of that board. The final account of the building works only was submitted to the Commissioners of Public Works in December 1981. Further accounts and information were requested but these have not yet been received by the commissioners. Pending receipt of full documentation the commissioners have paid the maximum amount of the grant which can safely be paid.
