Sketch-plans for a new national school at Rathgarogue, New Ross, County Wexford, have been prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and were approved by my Department in November 1979. The Reverend Chairman of the board of management was requested to furnish evidence of title to the school site and the submission of this documentation is still awaited. Until such time as satisfactory title to the site has been established, a grant towards the cost of the new school cannot be sanctioned and further planning may not be initiated.
