asked the Minister for Education when the erection of a new primary school (details supplied) in County Louth will be sanctioned.

Sketch-plans for a new national school at Kilcurley, County Louth, have been prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works and have been approved by my Department. A grant towards the cost will be sanctioned when agreement has been reached concerning the local contribution and further planning may then be initiated. It is not possible to state when building work may commence.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the application of the board of management to erect an extra room at the primary school in Louth village, Dundalk, County Louth.

My Department are at present investigating the long-term accommodation needs of Louth national school, Dundalk, County Louth. When a decision has been reached, the school authorities will be informed without delay.
