With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 706 and 707 together.

At present, places are available in existing second level schools in Galway city for pupils leaving primary school in the Renmore, Mervue and Ballybane areas of County Galway. It is intended to provide a new second level school in Ballybane and my Department are in communication with Galway Corporation in regard to the availability of a suitable school site. It is not possible at this stage to say when the new school will be provided.
