Vol. 336 No. 5

Written Answers. - Malahide (Dublin) School.

726.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the replacement national school for St. Andrew's, Malahide, County Dublin.

My Department have agreed, in principle, to the provision of a new school to replace St. Andrew's Primary School, Malahide. A feasibility study prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works is being considered by my Department from the educational viewpoint in conjunction with a review of the future enrolment position which is at present being undertaken. Subject to its suitability being established, the next step would be the preparation of sketch-plans by the commissioners. It is not possible at this early stage to say when building work may commence.
