The new rate of mobility allowance, which is £20.83 per month, is payable from 1 April 1982.
I have made inquiries from the Eastern Health Board regarding the case referred to by the Deputy. The person in question received the increased rate of allowance in May. All payments of mobility allowance are made a month in arrears.
