I am informed by the Garda authorities that the current strength at these stations is the maximum that can be provided at present having regard to overall resources and other demands on Garda services. However, a substantial number of extra gardaí are being recruited and, while the precise locations to which they will be allocated have not, as yet, been decided, it can be taken that the police needs of the stations in question will be considered when the additional manpower is available for assignment to the various centres.
