On 30 March 1982 I intimated in this House that "I intend to press on with the preparation of the comprehensive White Paper with a view to having it published around the end of this year" (Column 908 of Dáil Official Report). Despite a delay in receiving submissions from interested bodies, I hope to be in a position to meet this time scale.
