Negotiations are at present in progress to acquire a site for a new Garda station to service the Shantonagh and surrounding area. The question of disposing of the two official Garda houses at Crossduff, Shantonagh, will be considered when these negotiations are completed and the site of the new station is known. Until then it cannot be decided whether the houses are surplus to Garda needs.
