asked the Minister for Education the educational value to schools of general purposes rooms; the average cost of the type of general purpose room as would be appropriate in a (a) four, (b), six and (c) 12 teacher school.
General purpose rooms are provided to give schools facilities for physical education, music, drama, exhibition of students' work and a variety of other educational activities suited to the needs of individual schools.
The estimate average costs for the categories of schools mentioned in the question are (a) £40,000 (b) £40,000 and (c) £50,000.
