asked the Minister for the Environment if he will reconsider his decision in the case of a reconstruction grant for a person (details supplied) in Turloughmore, County Galway.
A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed on 15 April 1982.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a reconstruction grant to a person (details supplied) in Galway.
Applications have been received from the person named and from the local authority, the owners of the house, in respect of the provision of a chimney with fireplace and back boiler in the house in question. On receipt of confirmation from the local authority that they have no objection to the work being executed by him, grant approval will issue to the person concerned. He was asked to submit this confirmation on 15 March 1982.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

My Department are awaiting the submission of a Form SL4 which the applicant has been asked to complete and have certified by his inspector of taxes. His eligibility for a grant will then be determined.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to a £1,000 new house grant application from a person (details supplied) in Craughwell, County Galway.
This application was rejected because the applicant was not the first occupier of the house and did not occupy it as his normal place of residence.
