In accordance with the terms of a recent conciliation agreement between the Local Government and Public Services Union and the Local Government Staff Negotiations Board, the salary level applicable to chief fire officers, who sign an undertaking providing, for the acceptance of the Engineers Working Party Report and the Engineers Conciliation Agreement of April 1979, is that applicable to the grade of senior executive engineer. The salary scale applicable to that grade as from 1 March 1982, is as follows:— £13,057 - £13,414, £13,769 - £14,131, £14,496 - £14,860, £15,211 - £15,558.
Different scales, as follows, apply to the grades of Chief Fire Officer in Dublin Corporation, Cork Corporation and Cork County Council:—
