(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant which is due to a person (details supplied) in Corlismore, County Cavan, will be paid; and the reason for the delay in paying this grant.

A grant will be paid when an inspection established that the house has been satisfactorily completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. Any delay in this case arises from the failure of the applicant to submit the necessary documents with his application. The documents have now been received.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Ballinagh, County Cavan.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to a £1,000 new house grant for a person (details supplied) in Loughrea, County Galway.

The file is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to the approval and payment of a grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in relation to a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in Kilcolgan, County Galway.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed on 4 March 1982, and 30 April 1982.
