Vol. 337 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Person's Complaint.

692.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will have the complaint of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 investigated; and if he will take steps to rectify this matter.

The compliant in question concerns the issue of a fine-on-the-spot notice, allegedly in error. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the notice was issued correctly and that the complainant has already been informed that she is liable for the fine-on-the-spot in addition to the pound-fee which she paid when taking her car from the pound to which it had been towed. If the fine-on-the-spot is not paid, a summons will issue and the matter will be one for the court to decide upon.
