asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Macroom, County Cork, who applied for a telephone two and a half years ago.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored on a telephone line (details supplied) in Dublin as it has been out of order for six weeks.

Service will be restored as soon as possible but this may take a week or so because of the large number of faults on hands.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for persons in the Scartaglen-Kilsarcon area of County Kerry who have been on the waiting list for some time; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Service will be provided for all the waiting applicants in the area as soon as possible after engineering work is completed early next year.

It has not been possible to provide service for the person named so far because of the amount of engineering work on hands and awaiting attention in the Dublin area.

It is expected that service will be provided within about a year.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.
