I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a review of the taxpayer's liability for 1981-1982 disclosed an overpayment of £654.34. A cheque in settlement was issued on 4 June 1982. This cheque has not been presented for payment. The inspector of taxes is now arranging to contact the taxpayer to clarify the position.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a repayment of £472.78 has been calculated in respect of the taxpayer's overall income tax position and a cheque in settlement will be issued shortly.
