asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need for extra accommodation in Marian College secondary school, Mohill, County Leitrim, especially for a general purposes room; and, if in view of the difficulties created for the teaching staff and the students because of the lack of these facilities, he will give the necessary sanctions and provide the necessary funds so that building can commence immediately.

Marian College, Mohill, is being developed to cater for 250 student places overall. The additional accommodation to be provided includes a general purposes room.

Planning of the project is at an advanced stage. When a contract has been placed, the necessary funds will be made available.
