Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 1 Jul 1982

Vol. 337 No. 3

Business of Dáil.

A momentary interruption. I think it has now been agreed by the Whips, and I am putting it forward for agreement of the House, that we proceed with the debate without any Question Time today; that the debate would finish as already outlined by me earlier on, this evening with a vote at 8.30; the speakers called upon in succession as already suggested: Workers` Party, Labour Party, Fine Gael and Government. Part of the agreement is that there should be an hour for Questions tomorrow from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and Estimates thereafter until 4 o'clock. I think that is the main element of the agreement.

The agreement is that we proceed with the debate today without Question Time and that the original announcement regarding the times at which the final speakers would enter the debate is as it was; with further agreement that we will have one hour of Question Time tomorrow. Is the House agreed?

I confirm that that is the agreement reached by consultation and that we accept it.

We accept it also.
