Vol. 337 No. 4

Written Answers. - Management Advisory Committee.

436.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if his Department have yet established a management advisory committee in accordance with the recommendations of the Devlin Committee which were accepted by the Government in 1969; and if not, the reason.

Management meetings between the secretary and senior officials take place as normal practice in my Department although a formal management advisory committee as envisaged in the report of the Public Services Organisation Review Group has not been set up. A joint project team comprising officials from the Department of the Public Service and my Department is at present drawing up recommendations for the restructuring of my Department on the general lines of that report.
