Vol. 337 No. 5

Written Answers. - Special Service Pension.

775.

asked the Minister for Defence if his Department will restore a special service pension to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim.

The person referred to in the Deputy's question is in receipt of a special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts and payment of the allowance has not been terminated. The allowance is due for review at the end of July 1982 and inquiries are at present being made with a view to determining the person's eligibility for the further grant of special allowance with effect from 1 August 1982.
