My Department are awaiting notification from the applicant that the house has been completed and occupied. An inspection will then be arranged with a view to the payment of the grant, if in order.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether a person (details supplied) in Balbriggan, County Dublin, qualifies for the £1,000 new house grant; if so, when it will be paid; and whether he qualifies for a mortgage interest subsidy also.
My Department are awaiting the submission of a form SL 4 (part b) which the applicant's spouse has been asked to complete and have certified by the Inspector of Taxes. On its receipt, his eligibility for the grant will be determined at an early date.
There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for the mortgage subsidy.
