The Deputy will appreciate that Garda strength at any particular station does not remain constant in any year. Records are maintained on the basis of the number serving at each station at the end of each month and particulars of the number of gardaí of all ranks assigned to the stations mentioned in the question on 30 June in each of the years 1980 to 1982 are as follows:
