asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will explain the delay in processing a farm grant application under the western drainage scheme for a person (details supplied) in Listowel, County Kerry.

Applications under the western drainage scheme are being processed in order of receipt. It is expected that the application referred to will be investigated shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the payment of a grant under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in Skibbereen, County Cork.

Payment of guidance premia to this applicant cannot be considered until an examination currently in progress, into her eligibility under the farm modernisation scheme is completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a suckler cow grant to a person (details supplied) in Schull, County Cork.

Further investigation is necessary before a decision can be made on whether or not a suckler cow premium should be paid in this case. If found to be eligible, payment will issue to the person named as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange to pay a suckler cow grant to a person (details supplied) in Bantry, County Cork.

The person named is not eligible to participate in the 1981 scheme of premiums for maintaining suckler cows as he does not satisfy the conditions of the scheme which requires that applicants must earn at least 50 per cent of their total income from farming.
