Vol. 337 No. 5

Written Answers. - Domiciliary Care Allowance.

660.

asked the Minister for Health if and when his Department will sanction the payment of a domiciliary care allowance to a person (details supplied) in Clondalkin, County Dublin.

Payment of domiciliary care allowance is a matter for the appropriate health board. I have made inquiries from the Eastern Health Board regarding the case referred to by the Deputy. I am informed that the applicant was refused the allowance in question on medical grounds some time ago, but that the case has recently come up for review. It is not anticipated that there will be any delay in reaching a decision.
