The person named made applications both under the former and current grants schemes. The grants which were approved under the former scheme in August 1980 cannot be paid because the works had not been completed on or before 30 June, 1981 (as required by regulation) and a grant under the current scheme cannot be allowed because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the relevant works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was informed of the position in regard to the applications on 13 August 1981 and 17 June 1982 respectively.
